To use
GeX, simply upload a CSV file with a list of species occurrences using the form above.
The file should:
- use semicolons (;) as field delimiters
- have a single header line with labels for the species name, latitude and longitude columns, in this order, as shown in the sample input CSV text file below
- use decimal geographic coordinates
- preferably not exceed around 500,000 data points (*see below)
To export data from Microsoft Excel© or LibreOffice, refer to the user manual
If there are any
errors (such as out-of-bounds lat or long values, non decimal values, etc), they will be shown. Otherwise, the output species list will be shown, and a XYD file will be made available for download.
*files with close to 500,000 data points or larger might exceed the webhosting server processing capabilities.
